When you walked out, I said, I wouldn’t take it too hard Move along, write a few songs, and find a new girl But I can’t seem to shake that deep down feeling of loving you It lingers on, no matter what I do And I tell myself “you were just another girl” But deep down I know, you were my whole world So it’s Another empty bottle on the nightstand Another lover’s perfume on the pillow Another roach burnt out in the ashtray It’s a pounding head still missing you morning Searching for purpose, a reason to care Up and down, still joking around, just to mask this pain I’m surrounded by millions, but oh so alone Sounds nice to say, but ya can’t always go home Still I tell myself “you were just another girl” But deep down I know, you were my whole world So it’s Another empty bottle on the nightstand Another lover’s perfume on the pillow Another roach burnt out in the ashtray It’s a pounding head still missing you morning And it’s Another empty bottle on the nightstand Another lover’s perfume on the pillow Another roach burnt out in the ashtray It’s a pounding head still missing you morning Another pounding head still missing you morning

I’m trying to please you Work to appease you Buy you a new diamond ring You say “Oh honey Where’d you get that money? And diamonds just ain’t my thing” I take vacation Go see your relations But we spend all week staying in I want to go out But you’ll just sit and pout Baby, I can’t ever win On the phone our relationship is so much different, Cute, lovey dovey, just right You say that you love me, Til you walk up and see me, Then all you wanna do is fight You’re one fineee lookin’ mama Love to cause lotsa drama Always puttin’ me to the test You’re breaking my heart Sayin’ we’re better apart Maybe it’s all for the best On the phone our relationship is so much different, Cute, lovey dovey, just right You say that you love me, Til you walk up and see me, Then all you wanna do is fight On the phone our relationship is so much different, Cute, lovey dovey, just right You say that you love me, Til you walk up and see me, Then all you wanna do is fight All you wanna do is fight All we ever do is fight

Ride or Die 05:07
Life’s too short to spend alone Sitting around, bored on your phone Gotta get out, gotta take a chance Never know when you could find romance Top down, doors off the Jeep, We’ll hang a left up past the creek Don’t need lights out here to see Driving, moonlight guiding me Ever seen a sky this clear? Stars so bright you can almost hear Liquid star-shine dripping down A supernova and a bottle of crown You say you want a ride or die, well I’m riding and dyin’ Look so beautiful right now girl, tonight you’re shining Say you wanna go real fast, gonna feel like we’re flying Hop up in this cab with me an let’s get to ridin’ (Here we go) No “lols” or pickup lines Straight honesty, not even tryin Conversation flowing like this stream Don’t pinch me girl, I love this dream Locking eyes feeling so alive Aren’t you glad we took this drive You say you want a ride or die, well I’m riding and dyin’ Look so beautiful right now girl, tonight you’re shining Say you wanna go real fast, gonna feel like we’re flying Hop up in this cab with me an let’s get to ridin’ (Here we go) SOLO You say you want a ride or die, well I’m riding and dyin’ Anything you want at all girl, tonight I’m buying Say you wanna go real fast, gonna feel like we’re flying Then hop up in this cab with me if you think it’s worth tryin’

Better Place 03:29
Never drove a new car Never wore designer name brand Only buy what we can afford With the work of our own two hands Didn’t have all them fancy channels (Only 3 5 and 8) Didn’t know one damned kardashian And life was pretty great Don’t tell me how to think Don’t tell me what to do Don’t sit and try to shame me Cuz I’m not the same as you Work hard, playin’ harder Doing what it takes Spread peace and love around you Make the world a better place! Throw on some ol Merle Haggard, I’ll pick up that hammer and nail Ya ain’t gonna find me on welfare, Hell, I’d rather be in jail In this great land of opportunity, Ain’t got much but it’s mine! No tyranny, Don’t Tread on Me, Freedom til the end of time! Don’t tell me how to think Don’t tell me what to do Don’t sit and try to shame me Cuz I’m not the same as you Work hard, playin’ harder Doing what it takes Spread peace and love around you Make the world a better place! -Solo- Don’t tell me how to think Don’t tell me what to do Don’t sit and try to shame me Cuz I’m not the same as you Work hard, playin’ harder Doing what it takes Spread peace and love around you Make the world a better place!

Last Chance 03:58
You can tell me that you don’t need me Pack my bags and set 'em by your door Choke the drain with my whiskey to fix me So you won't find me on the floor I’m an anchor that keeps on sinking Takes a stronger arm than yours to pull me in I knew soon you’d be dying from trying A sad ending starting over again No more last chance, last chance for saving me Since the first time, yeah between a swear and a promise I had you buying just a little bit of both You felt the burning long before you smelled the smoke Words are cheap and love sure hurts baby No more last chance, last chance for saving me I hate myself for my selfish choices Most days I can’t even stand me This path worn deeper from walking, walking I guess the plan is for me to see No more last chance, last chance for saving me Mhmmm Since the first time, ya between a swear and a promise I had you buying just a little bit of both You felt the burning long before you smelled the smoke Words are cheap and love sure hurts baby No more last chance, last chance for saving me -Solo- No more last chance, last chance for saving me Mhmmm Since the first time, yeah between a swear and a promise, promise, promise, promise I had you buying just a little bit of both You felt the burning long before you smelled the smoke Words are cheap and love sure hurts baby No more last chance, last chance for saving me No more last chance, last chance for saving me No more last chance, last chance for saving me

about

Asked why I don't write and record my own music, my default response has always been "I don't have time". That all changed on March 15th as governments shuttered the entertainment industry in response to fears of COVID-19. As a working musician living in Music City, suddenly all I had was time.

I started by pouring through hours of saved riff ideas and notes, picking out favorites. As I went through process of tracking the songs, I taught myself how to better record, mix, and even master these songs. They are by no means perfect, but here is the fruit of my endeavors: I hope you enjoy!
